So you just got your photo gallery! You love them! Now what?! Personally, I am a huge fan of using Canva to create all my social media posts! Please let me know if you have never used it. I would love to send over a code so you can give it a trial run!
When you start your Canva account, I would say just poke around all the premade templates! There are amazing artists and designers to discover! I can even add my brand colors, fonts, and logos in Canva and press shuffle so you can see your branding in the social media posts.
I photographed Kiki, a Junior stylist at Cultured Roots, and wanted to show her what we could do with her gallery, so it doesn’t feel as daunting. So I really just used everything on her website, social media, and existing reviews to build these social media posts.
Kiki is from Hawaii, and I wanted to showcase that in her posts because I really think it stands out in Bozeman, Montana. So I searched for “island vibes,” “tropical,” and “Hawaii” on Canva and found “Blue and White Minimalist Discover the Island of Bali Presentation.” Funny enough, it was a presentation for a trip, but I was able to go up to the left corner and resize it to Instagram sizing. It was so simple!
Every time you photograph with me, you get full rights to download all your images, and I get so crazy excited to see what you will do with them! So throw your whole gallery into Canva and start plugging things in!
I personally love thinking about the top questions that clients have for me and then answering them in a post like this. So next time I get that question in my DMs, I can just send over the posted image. The client gets to see my face, read the comments, and my answers to them, so they get all the answers they could have!
I know, I know, it feels like a LOT of your face right now! I get that! But people want to see your face! Every year that I see my top posts from my business, they are of my face! We are our brand! My dream is that Kiki would have these premade social media posts saved on her phone, and she could just add a cheeky caption and get it out there! Lots of service-based businesses like hair stylists have a full page of other people’s hair, so it’s not to sprinkle every 5 images of yourself so that when someone is searching for a new stylist, they can really see what you can do, but also who you are! Why should they come to your chair?
