Montana Wildflower Weddings | Red Lodge Wedding Intimate Elopement!

About Montana Wildflower Weddings

I am so excited to tell you all about this intimate wedding venue at Wildflower Weddings! I’ve only done huge productions with hundreds of guests at Wildflower, so it was a lot of fun to meet on a Wednesday in Red Lodge to celebrate these two! Definitely a change of pace, and I loved it.

We stayed at the cabin on the property and got hair and makeup done by Destini from Cultured Roots! The bride wanted a little more of an editorial look for her getting ready pictures, so I brought in a stand and backdrop to set up right in front of the sliding glass doors of the cabin for some beautiful lighting. Also, a hack, if you’re getting ready space is a little messy or not exactly what you want, putting up a giant backdrop gets rid of all the clutter and gives you that editorial look. The couple got ready together which was so stinking sweet to watch.

After that, we went in front of the barn for them to exchange their vows. We took our time after photographing on the gorgeous property with the heavy woods, waterfalls, and open pasture. Then Crystal, their planner, had set up a beautiful grazing table, wine, and cake from Sweets by Sam. Sometimes you might think that when you elope you wouldn’t need a planner, but I will tell you- it makes a HUGE difference in the day. Her decorations and work were so magical, the couple absolutely loved it! She surprised them with sparklers after dinner, and then they hit downtown Red Lodge for more drinks and dancing at the One-Legged Magpie.

Where to Stay Near Wildflower Weddings

Wildlower has a great cabin on the property that we got ready in. It’s only a few minutes from Red Lodge, and it is a huge, spacious log cabin near Beartooth Mountains. It has three levels including a master suite, two other bedrooms, a loft overlooking the main level area, and two full bathrooms! AHH! I would definitely stay here, it sounds and is amazing. It fits up to 10 guests!

“The main level offers a luxurious and cozy living space with an open floor plan concept including its own separate dining area and breakfast bar. The beautiful stone fireplace is the focal point of this space. Downstairs has a full walkout basement, bar and a great open area to play family games or to gather for a meeting. The lodge comes fully furnished and sits back off the beaten path amongst a quiet natural setting. With numerous, large, sun-filled windows, a wraparound upper deck and a lower patio, you are able to experience incredible views of the property and passing wildlife. The serene setting offers peaceful ponds and a tranquil waterfall. Whether you want to take in the sights of downtown Red Lodge, which offers exquisite charm and character, or explore your adventurous side, you have the best of both worlds right at your doorstep.”

Hiring Your Wildflower Wedding Photographer

Well… I clearly love it here if I am writing a whole blog to try to get you to tie the knot here! But who am I? I am Leanna Krenik, and I am the proud owner of Leanna Joy Photography, and the images in this blog are pictures I took of a wedding at Wildflower Weddings in August 2023. I am based in the mountains of Bozeman, but I love taking this one woman show on the road to Red Lodge. I actually lived and worked in Red Lodge for two years at the Montana Candy Emporium and coffee shop. My family still lives there and I love an excuse to photograph in Red Lodge and see the fam! My photography style is best described as bright, colorful, and full of my client’s personality! When I’m shooting, I am a full-time photographer and part time hype woman. I am happy to crack jokes the whole time, help you pose, and pump you up. Feel free to check out my website to learn more about me, and look through some of my work.

I know you have a million options and ideas running through your head right now. I know you’ve probably looked at so many venues, your head is spinning. I highly suggest taking a deep breath, a swig of your wine, and then contacting Red Lodge Wildflower Weddings to see if they are the best fit for you! I always think that walking through the property is the best way to see if you can envision yourself saying “I do” here. I suggest making a date out of everything you do when it comes to wedding planning. Make it fun! So, go see the venue, then head to The Ox Pasture or The Pollard for dinner and talk it through together! And as always, if you have any questions please never hesitate to email me at leannajoyphoto@hotmail.com.
